Event Details
Join TCSO as we explore some of the most profound and transformative music of the twentieth century. Few composers have written for strings with greater drama and delicacy than American master Samuel Barber. SLSO assistant concert master Erin Schreiber performs his remarkable violin concerto. Perhaps no composer has had a more profound impact on the modern symphonic form than Dmitri Shostakovich. While the precise program of his Fifth Symphony may forever be debated, its inescapable gravity is undeniable. We will be joined by the SIU Suzuki tour group performing Bach’s concerto for two violins in d-minor. Masks are required for this event.
