Event Details

Join TCSO and guest conductor Dr. Rolynd Lyon della Sylvan for an afternoon of dangerous and beautiful music about magic, love, stormy seas, and a deal with the devil. The program will feature Mendelsson’s Fingal’s Cave, von Weber’s overture to Der Freischutz, Elgar’s “Nimrod” from the Enigma Variations, Verdi’s overture to La forza del destino, Sibelius’s Valse triste, and Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man. TCSO is joined by Rising Talents medalist Elsa Heaton in her performance of the first movement from Vieuxtemps’s Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Minor: I. Andante – Moderato.

Thanks to the generous support of our musicians, our donors, our sponsors, the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, and with public support from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, we are able to make our concerts free. If you would like to become one of our supporters you can learn more here. Thank you! Seating is open and no tickets are required. Come early for the best seats!
